1. Our annual chili supper and silent auction fundraiser is just 3 weeks away on February 5 during the high school home basketball game. We need volunteers to bring chili and desserts. If you can bring either one of these, please respond in either facebook or via email. We also need volunteers to help “work” the chili supper and silent auction.
We still need a minimum of 6 people for each shift:
Shift #1 5pm-7 Help with setup, serving food, and monitoring the auction items.
Shift #2 7pm-9 Help serve food, monitor the auction, and start clean up from the chili supper.
Shift #3 9pm-?? Monitor auction, help with auction, check out, and clean up.
2. We will be selling tickets for 2 items: Kitchenaid Mixer, and a grill. $2 for 1 ticket, $5 for 3 tickets. These will be for sale at all of the home varsity basketball games between now and February 5. Students will also be able to check out tickets from Mr. Edwards to sell during non-school times. Mr. Edwards should have these next week. He will let the kids know.
3. We are requesting items for our silent auction. Nothing is too small or too large. If you would like to purchase some items for donation, we would be happy to accept them. If you would like to purchase small items with a theme, we can make into a basket for you. You can purchase small kitchen tools car care tools, etc. and we will create the basket. If you have a home based business or know someone who does (such as Pampered Chef, Thirty-One, or Mary-Kay) we would love to have items from them. If you can ask for items, we can supply a receipt for tax purposes.
PLEASE, we need everyone’s help to make this a success and continue to be able to support our students.
4. January 30 is the Republic sponsored Winterguard competition at RHS. Many students and parents are needed to help in various capacities to make this a successful venture. There will be gate monitors, runners, and a plethora of concession stand workers needed.
To volunteer for any or all of the above mentioned fundraising activities that help keep you students’ band fees to a minimum, please contact the Band Boosters via facebook or email, or you may attend the next Booster meeting on February 1 at 7:00pm in the HS Band room.
